What is the conversion factor for sodium sulfite vs. sulfite?

It is important to be clear how you are expressing your results. Our tests are designed either expressed as sodium sulfite or sulfite. Check the EndPoint® ID procedures to ensure how the results should be expressed.

There are conversion factors:

  • To change sulfite (SO3) to sodium sulfite (Na2SO3), multiply by 1.57
  • To change sodium sulfite (Na2SO3) to sulfite (SO3), multiply by 0.64
