Dissolved Oxygen Testing
Dissolved oxygen testing is used to determine if the deaeration equipment is working correctly. Obtaining the sample is extremely difficult due to the temperature of the water. The sample must be cooled to under 100°F, so the technician can submerge the vacuum tube, open the tube and allow it to fill without any exposure to the atmosphere. If the sample is exposed, atmospheric Oxygen will ruin the test instantly.
