How do we measure a steam boilers conductivity?
Conductivity Testing
Conductivity is measured by running an electric charge between 2 platinum rings. Water does not conduct electricity, the salts dissolved in the water are the conductors. The more salts; the higher the conductance. We recommend using a conductivity neutralizer to take the OH ion out of the reading. OH is highly charged but ½ of the water molecule and not an actual dissolved solid.
